Definitions
An image helps illustrate a document. It can be inserted in specific areas (on a cover page or a document separator sheet) or in the main text, and its size and position can be adjusted.
A PDF attachment is part of a document, like the titles or the paragraphs. It can only be added to the main text and its size and position cannot be adjusted.
Application
In the word processor floating menu, this icon lets you insert images, and this image
lets you insert PDF attachments.
- Images can be added in jpg, gif, png, svg or pdf formats.
NB: if you insert a multiple-page PDF as an image, only the first page will appear.
- PDF attachments can be inserted only in PDF format.
To see whether a selected item is a PDF attachment or an image, simply look at the icon to the left of it :
- If this icon
appears next to the image with a title above it, it is a PDF attachment.
- If this icon
appears next to the image and it does not have a title, it is an image.
