XaitWebProposal: Choose the publication mode
for your minisites (Public or Private)
You can now publish your XaitWebProposal minisites with Public access (without a password) or Private access (secured with an access code). Until now, a password was always required.
Please note:
- The Private mode remains selected by default when creating a minisite.
- This new feature does not affect your minisites that have already been published, which retain their current configuration.
What are the uses for public publication?
Public mode simplifies access to your content when password protection is not necessary:
- Easier communication: smooth access to content that does not require protection, simplifying the user experience.
- Simplified distribution: integrate the URL via a hyperlink in your documents (technical proposals, sales proposals, PDFs) or QR code.
- Marketing materials: product presentation showcases, interactive brochures.
How does it work?
- Choose when publishing: When publishing online, simply select the Public or Private option.
-
Email notification:
- Private mode: the recipient receives 2 separate emails (one containing the link and the other the access code).
- Public mode: the recipient receives only 1 email with the direct access link.
- Complete flexibility: You can switch a minisite from Private to Public (and vice versa) at any time. Note: switching from public to private mode automatically generates a new access code.
Impact on features
- Discussion thread: Disabled in public mode to ensure easy access. If you switch a private site to public, the history of existing exchanges remains saved.
- Statistics: Traffic monitoring and analysis remain available regardless of the selected mode.
A minisite published in private mode appears with a padlock in your project list, as shown here:
