You must be a 'Content manager' to access and modify masters for your group.
Setting parameters for answers in the questionnaire
Below are the possible parameters for an answer:
- Pre-checked answer: do you want this response to be pre-ticked?
- Delete the answer: to delete an answer.
- Provides the context: to indicate the keyword that will be used in the master.
- Exclusion condition: to indicate the incompatibilities between answers to the questionnaire.
- Merge fields: to set the parameters for merge fields in the questionnaire.
Pre-checked answer
You can suggest a default answer by ticking 'Pre-checked answer'. The user will have to untick it if he does not want the related content included in the document.
Set the display conditions (context)
The display conditions allow users to:
- Connect the questionnaire to the content of the master.
- Set conditions so that questions only appear if a specific answer has been ticked.
You must set a keyword for each answer, this keyword will also be used:
- In the word processor so that the section concerned is displayed when the answer is ticked by the user.
- In the properties of a question that is conditioned by this answer. See the full article here: How to set parameters for the questions in a questionnaire?
To set the context parameters for answers:
- Enter the keyword in the 'Provides the context' field, then hit 'Enter'.
- If you have already created keywords in the word processor, the field will suggest autocompleted answers when you have typed a few letters.
- The keyword appears in grey in the right-hand column and is in purple in the centre of the screen, beside the response.
NB: To prevent multiple similar answers, we suggest not using accents or capital letters in your conditions.
Defining exclusion conditions (incompatibilities)
Exclusion conditions:
- Make it possible to make several answers in the questionnaire incompatible.
- May concern several answers to a single question or several answers to different questions.
To set parameters for exclusion conditions:
- In the 'Exclusion condition' field, select the keyword for the incompatible response.
- The keyword appears in grey in the right-hand column and in the red box in the centre beside the incompatible answer.
For example, here, we have set the following incompatibility parameters:
- If I tick answer 1.1, I cannot tick 1.3.
- If I tick answers 1.1 AND 1.2, I cannot tick 2.1.
- If I tick answer 1.1 I cannot tick 2.1.
- If I tick answer 1.2, I cannot tick 2.1.
Creating merge fields
Merge fields allow you to create fields for the user to customise, in a master.
To set the parameters for merge fields, see the full article here: How to manage the merge fields for Questionnaires?
Changing the order of the answers
In the central section of the screen, click on the arrows beside the answer that you would like to move:
- Up arrow to move the answer up one space.
- Down arrow to move the answer down one space.
Deleting an answer
- In the right-hand column, select the answer that you would like to delete.
- Click 'Delete the answer'.
- The answer is deleted; it will no longer appear in the questionnaire. Deletion is permanent.
Note: Remember to save your changes by clicking the 'Save' button in the left-hand column when taking any action in the MCQ.
Automatic saving is not available.
