This article is about the Questions & Answers function (Q&A) in XaitProposal. Check with your administrator to see if your service includes this option.
Organizing the Word questionnaire
To make it easier to import a questionnaire in Word format to a Q&A notebook, you will need to prepare your Word document before you begin.
To do that, define the level of your questions: Chapter (style 2) or Sub-chapter (style 3). This will help XaitProposal software easily identify the questions.
Reminder about Word styles: you’ll find this in the toolbar at the top of a Word document:
Inserting a new Q&A foIder – Document
- Place your cursor on the title of a notebook in your document.
- Click on “Insert” in the left-hand menu.
- Select ‘Q&A Notebook – Document’.
- A new window will open. Select the title style applied to questions in the Word document (Style 2 for Chapter and Style 3 for Sub-Chapter), then click on “Create”.
The new notebook will appear directly after the previous notebook and be visible in the left-hand panel.
Inserting a Word questionnaire in XaitProposal
Once you’ve organized your Word document and created the Q&A notebook in XaitProposal, copy-paste the content from the Word questionnaire in a block of text in the word processor.
XaitProposal automatically recognizes the questions imported.
Monitoring progress in a Q&A questionnaire
At the top of the Q&A notebook a progress bar tells you how much of the questionnaire has been completed.
- All questions are marked as ‘To be answered’ (grey).
- When you begin answering a question, the status indicator for it automatically updates to “In progress” (orange).
- When you request collaboration on an answer to a question, the status is marked as “Pending” (purple).
- When you have completed an answer, that question is marked as “Completed” (green).
