How to summarise content with XaitAssistant?

XaitAssistant uses artificial intelligence technology to help you summarise your text.

Activate XaitAssistant

XaitAssistant is available for title levels up to and including the mandatory title level. To find out more about the mandatory title level, click here to access the full article: Required title level and PDF export

1. Click on the item you want to summarise. To do so, select a title in the left-hand panel or click on a text element (title or paragraph) in the central part of the editor.
2. Click on the button at the top right of the editor.
3. The XaitAssistant panel opens on the right of the screen, specifying the scope of the summary. You can change the scope by clicking on another block in the central area.

Summarise content

1. In the XaitAssistant panel, click on “How can I help you?”, then on “Summarise content”.
2. Select the desired size of the summarised content:
   • 25% of its original size
   • 50% of its original size
   • 75% of its original size
3. Choose whether you want to keep the structure
   • Yes: the content structure will be preserved, and it will be possible to return to the original content, title level by title level.
   • No: the structure can be reviewed by XaitAssistant. It will be possible to return to the original content at the highest title level.
4. By default, the suggested version of the content is displayed in the central area. To return to the original content, click on the toggle button.
5. When suggested content is saved, the original content is archived. Their display conditions (Master) and comments are also archived. They can be recovered by displaying the archived elements.

Here, for example, we've reduced the “Our recommendations” chapter to 50% of its original size, while preserving the structure of the content. You can restore the original version of each level.

Save modifications

In the top right-hand corner of the XaitAssistant panel, click on “Save”.

You can turn XaitAssistant off by clicking on the IA button, on the XaitAssistant panel cross, or by clicking on a title in the left-hand panel.

NB :

• XaitAssistant is not available in the following cases:
  • archived items are displayed
  • error tracking is activated
  • the selection is on a title that higher than the mandatory level
  • the concerned part is linked to a collaborative task
  • the selection is on a PDF attachment, illustration or advanced table element (Table plugin)
  • no layout is applied
