Accessing accounts
- You must be an 'Account manager' to access this function.
- Open XaitProposal.
- On the left-hand panel of the home page, click on the 'Accounts' icon
.
- You can view the accounts for your organization, or for the group(s) you belong to.
Creating an account
- Click on 'Create' on the left of your screen.
- Fill in the fields for the new account you wish to create :
- Full name (First name, Surname)
- User name to be used to log on
- Role(s) : accounts must always be at least 'User' and 'Redactor'
- Group(s) they belong to
- Language for the interface
- In order to complete the creation :
- Click on 'Create and activate' if you wish to activate the account right now.
- Click on 'Create' if you wish to activate the account later.
NB :
- As soon as their account is created, the users receive an email. If you want to avoid them being informed immediately, click on 'Create'.
- The user can log on to his/her account with an user name or email address. You can enter a logon that is not your email as there are two ways to connect.
- You can create one account per email. If you are trying to create an account with an email that has already been used, you will receive an error message.
Modifying an account
- Click on the account you would like to modify.
- You can modify the following fields for the account:
- Full name (First name, Surname)
- User name to be used to log on
- Role(s) : accounts must always be at least 'User' and 'Redactor'
- Group(s) they belong to
- Language for the interface
- Click on 'Save' to confirm the changes to the account.
NB : If you change the email and/or the user name, remember to let the user know so that they can continue to log on.
We advise you not to replace a person's account with his or her replacement. This is because the history of the person who has left will automatically be attributed to the replacement. In this case, it's best to block the departing person's account and create a new account for the replacement.
Blocking an account
- Click on the account that you would like to block.
- Click on 'Block'.
- The account no longer appears in the list of accounts.
NB : Once an account has been blocked, the user will no longer be able to access XaitProposal.
Unblocking an account
- Click on 'Display blocked accounts' on the left-hand side of your screen.
- The blocked accounts appear with the text struck through.
- Click on the account you would like to unblock.
- Click on 'Unblock'.
- The account again appears in the list of accounts.
NB : The user will be able to logon with the identifier and password used previously.
Activate add-on modules
This section covers the XaitAssistant, XaitWeb and XaitRFI add-on modules. These modules can be activated per instance and per account. Please check with your administrator that these products are subscribed.
