When opening the editor, the preview is displayed by default on the right side of the screen.
The window can be resized (expanded or reduced) depending on your needs.
The preview automatically adjusts to scrolling and synchronizes with the document’s heading levels (notebook, section, chapter, subchapter, topic).
Manage the preview in the editor
At the top right of the preview are the available actions:
-
Refresh: Allows you to see the latest changes made in the editor displayed in the preview
-
Detach / Reattach preview: lets you display the preview in a new window or reattach it to the editor. This feature is useful when working across multiple screens.
-
Download file: Allows you to download the preview in PDF format to your workstation
-
Close preview: Closes the preview window. To display it again, simply click the eye at the top left of the central part of the editor
My document’s preview does not display
When your document contains an error preventing the generation of the PDF export, the preview cannot be displayed. In this case, see this Help article: How to find errors in the word processor
Note: For the Preview to work correctly, your Chrome browser must be version 126 or higher.
