In folder and document forms you can configure the order that categories and their merge fields are displayed in.
Getting to the category and merge field organization page
- Click on the 'Merge Fields' icon in the left panel on your homepage.
- You are sent to the Merge fields administration page
- In the left-hand column, at the top, click on this icon
, ‘Sort categories and merge fields’
- Here you can
- Change the order in which categories appear
- Change the order of the merge fields in each category
NB: The changes made here have no impact on the administration page. Categories there are listed alphabetically.
Sorting categories
- In the left-hand column, hold down the icon
beside the category you want to move.
- Drag the category where you want it to be and drop it there.
Here for example, we want to move the category ‘Internal contact 3’ to be after the category ‘Internal contact 2’.
This message confirms that the category has been successfully moved:
Sorting merge fields
To change the order of the merge fields within a category, follow these steps:
- In the left-hand column, click on the category you want to reorganize.
- In the center of the screen, hold down the icon
beside the merge field you want to move.
- Drag and drop the category where you want it to be
Here for example, we want to move the field ‘First name’ to be before ‘Position’
This message confirms that the category has been successfully moved:
