What are the advanced table formatting options?

The Table Plugin allows you to embed complex tables in XaitProposal, offering more formatting options than the tables embedded in text blocks.

Table Formatting Options

Table Properties

You can apply custom formatting when creating the table or by clicking the "Table Properties" icon:

1. Number of columns
2. Number of rows
3. Cell padding size
4. Table alignment
5. Display of caption
6. Background color
7. Outer borders:
   1. Border width
   2. Border style
   3. Border color
8. Inner borders:
   1. Border width
   2. Border style
   3. Border color

Cell Formatting

Row Properties

Click on the cell of the row you want to modify, then open the row properties
You can modify:

• Horizontal / vertical alignment
• Row height
• Row type (header / body)
• Borders (width / style / color)
• Background color

Cell Properties

Click on the cell you want to modify, then open the cell properties
You can modify:

• Horizontal / vertical alignment
• Cell height / width
• Cell borders (width / style / color)
• Background color

Merge Cells

1. Select the cells you want to merge.
2. In the context menu that appears below the table, click on "Cell" .
3. Click on "Merge".
4. The content of all cells is retained and concatenated.

Split Cells

1. Select the cells you want to split.
2. In the context menu that appears below the table, click on "Cell" .
3. Click on "Split Horizontally" or "Split Vertically".
4. The cell is split, and its content is retained in the first cell.

About Borders

• By default, border thickness is 1 px.
• Distinct inner / outer borders: If the outer thickness is greater than the inner thickness (e.g., 2px blue outside, 1px red inside), both colors will remain visible.
  
• Inner / outer borders of the same thickness: However, if you set both thicknesses to the same value, the inner borders take precedence. For example, a blue outline (1px) and a red interior (1px) will result in an entirely red table.

The colors included in your layout are offered in the color palette. You can also enter the code (HEXA, RGB, HSB) of your chosen colors so they are applied to the table formatting:
