The Table Plugin allows you to integrate complex tables into XaitProposal, offering more formatting options than the tables embedded in text blocks.
Table formatting options
Table properties
You can apply custom formatting either when creating the table or by clicking on the "Table Properties" icon:
General properties:
- Number of columns
- Number of rows
- Cell margin size
- Table alignment
- Display of caption
Advanced properties:
- Outer borders:
- Border width
- Border style
- Border color
- Internal border color
- Background color

Row properties
Click on the cell in the row you want to modify, then open the row properties
You can modify:
- Horizontal / vertical alignment
- Row height
- Row type (header / body)
- Borders (width / style / color)
- Background color
Cell properties
Click on the cell you want to modify, then open the cell properties
You can modify:
- Horizontal / vertical alignment
- Cell height / width
- Cell borders (width / style / color)
- Background color
Merge cells
- Select the cells you want to merge.
- In the context menu that appears below the table, click on "Cell"
.
- Click on "Merge".
- The content of all cells is preserved and concatenated.
Split cells
- Select the cells you want to split.
- In the context menu that appears below the table, click on "Cell"
.
- Click on "Split horizontally" or "Split vertically".
- The cell is split, and its content is kept in the first cell.
About borders
- By default, the border thickness is 1 px
- Distinct inner / outer borders: If the outer thickness is greater than the inner one (e.g., 2px blue outside, 1px red inside), both colors will remain visible.
- Inner / outer borders of the same thickness: However, if you set both thicknesses to the same value, the inner borders take precedence. For example, a blue outline (1px) and a red inside (1px) will result in a fully red table.
Note:
The colors contained in your layout are offered in the color palette. You can also enter the code (HEXA, RGB, HSB) of your preferred colors so they are applied to the table formatting:
