Introduction
This feature allows you to replace in one time a word (or group of words) that has been repeated several times in your document. For instance, this allows you to search for XX and customize them, or to search for and replace a misspelled word that is repeated several times.
How the Find/Replace option works:
Process steps :
- Click on the icon
above your text editor.
- In the pop-in menu that appears, enter the word or phrase you wish to search for (at least 3 characters) the search is automatically triggered after two letters.
- To specify only upper or lowercase in your search, tick the checkbox to Match case.
- Your search is highlighted in yellow in the editor, and the number of occurrences in the document is shown to the right of the search text. To navigate in the editor and find the occurrence you are searching for, use the arrows located below the research menu:
- In the second field, you can input the word or phrase that will replace your search result:
You have two options:
- Replace, to replace the selected occurrence of your search. You can then proceed with the following results, one at a time.
- Replace All, to replace all occurrences of the word or phrase you are searching for.
We recommend that you test your replacement on one occurrence before applying it to all others.
