Setting up questions
Below are the possible settings for a question:
- Mandatory answer: is the user obliged to answer this question?
- Several possible answers: will the user be able to tick several answers for this question? Or does the answer have to be unique?
- Display condition: Does this question appear in all cases?
- Only one of the conditions is sufficient: will this question appear if one or more conditions are ticked?
- Delete question: to delete the question and all associated answers.
For example, here we have set up this question as follows:
- This question must be answered to move forward with the creation of your document.
- Only one answer is possible, either 'Yes' or 'No'.
- This question only appears in the MCQ if I ticked 'Complex offer' or 'Service A' in the previous questions.
Define the restrictions linked to the question
If you tick ‘The answer is mandatory’, you will not be able to create your microsite until you have answered the question. The question is then displayed followed by an asterisk.
By ticking ‘Multiple answers allowed', the user can choose several of the suggestions displayed. The tick boxes are marked:
- A square when several answers are possible.
- A circle when only one answer is possible.
Create a conditional question.
It is possible to configure the display of a question according to previous answers. In this case, the question will only appear if a previous answer has been ticked.
- Click on the question to be conditioned.
- Type the keyword (answer context) in the 'Display condition' field, then 'Enter'.
- The condition is displayed in grey in the dedicated field.
- It is possible to enter 2 display conditions, in which case you must choose whether to tick the ‘Only one condition is required’ box. If this is unchecked, the question will only be displayed if the 2 conditions are met. Conversely, if the box is ticked, the question will be displayed if either condition is previously selected.
For example, here the question 'Would you like to insert a decision summary? will only appear if I ticked 'Complex offer' in the previous question.
Change the order of the questions
In the central section, click on the arrows below the question you want to move:
- Top arrow, to move the question up one step.
- Down arrow, to move the question down one step.
Delete a question
- In the right-hand column, select the question you wish to delete.
- Click on 'Delete question'.
- The question is deleted, along with the associated answers.
- It will no longer appear in the MCQ. The deletion is permanent.
Note: Remember to save your changes by clicking the 'Save' button in the left-hand column when taking any action in the MCQ.
Automatic saving is not available.
