If your XaitProposal site is available in multiple languages, the merge fields can be translated into each of them.
Merge fields are translated by the ‘Content Manager’ from the merge field administration page.
Users see the merge fields in the language that is set for their profile; when there is no translation of a particular field, the default language for the site is the version shown.
Translating a field
- In the left panel of the home page, click on the icon
- You are sent to the merge field administration page.
- In the left-hand column, select the category containing the merge field(s) you wish to translate
- In the center of the screen, click on the merge field you wish to translate so that its characteristics are displayed.
- In the left-hand column, click on the ‘TRANSLATIONS’ button. The languages available on your site are shown. Select the language for translation.
- Enter the translation in the field.
- Save by clicking on the ‘Save’ button
in the left-hand column.
For example, here, we translated the merge field for the "Client address" into Portuguese.
